Small decorative vessel made with stabilized Maple burl. The vessel has been shaped and hollowed our using a wood lathe in my studio. The stabilization process impregnates the wood with resin under vacuum and then baked to cure. Stabilizing maintains the wood's natural beauty without the possibility of warping, fading or splitting.
The vessel measures 3 - 7/8th inch in diameter by 4 inches tall.
